オーストラリアで最も歴史の古いビクトリア国立美術館(ＮＧＶ)は訪問者の数からいってもオーストラリアでは最大で、人気のある美術館です。
ＮＧＶはNGVインターナショナルとNGV オーストラリアと２つあり、それぞれの建物に分けられています。館内はオーストラリアと世界中のアーテイストの作品が収集され、現代アートも含み膨大な美術品を常設しております。そのほか、特殊なアーテイストの特別な展覧会、ファッション・モード展、建築展、音声・パフォーマンスアートなども実施しております。
